    Despite the loss of historical archives due to wars in Pavia, the saint's relics are preserved and venerated in the city's cathedral.

    The acts of the life of Saint Armentarius and a great number of other bishops of Pavia perished as a result of the countless upheavals of which this unfortunate city was the scene: nevertheless, the body of the holy bishop who concerns us was able to escape devastation: it is religiously preserved in the ma in church of the city, and hi s feast is celebrated every year on January 30.

"Prayer extinguishes the violence of fire, closes the mouths of lions, ends wars, drives away demons, illnesses, and storms, breaks the bonds of death, turns away from us the wrath of God and all evils."
