Isabella Amalia Ester Andreoli was born on July 10, 1861, in Agugliaro (Vicenza, Italy). The only daughter of Marco Andreoli and Margherita Ferraretto, she grew up in a context marked by her father's abandonment. Her mother moved to Este to provide for her livelihood and Christian education. After studying with the Canossian Sisters in Venice, she obtained her teaching diploma in 1878. Driven by the desire to dedicate herself to God, she entered the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1881, but a serious illness forced her to leave the institute in 1889. She then turned toward the spirituality of the Servants of Mary and settled in Vidor.
